Antique Bouquet Holder, 1840 – 1850

Antique bouquet holder. The handle is mother of pearl. The vase is in pinchbeck (gold metal, alloy of copper and zinc). it is finely chiseled and adorned with four red glass stones in the style of rubies. A chain connects the handle to a ring which allowed it to be held on the finger. Another chain connects the fixed needle-bouquet to the bouquet holder. It is 4,52 long. A very similar model visible on page 85 (n ° 20) of the catalog of the exhibition “Bouquets holders” of the Cognacq-Jay Museum published in 2005. Great Britain, 1840 – 1850.
