Antique French Fan, Mother-of-pearl, Ernest Kees

Antique French fan. Mother-of-pearl and gouache. Rare and magnificent fan whose frame is in engraved, pierced, gilded and silvered mother-of-pearl. The leaf is made of skin lined with paper, painted with a charming gallant scene in a park. Fan in excellent condition, however note a micro crack on one of the guard stick and slight stains on the back of the leaf visible in the photos. It measures 11,10 inches long closed and 21,26 inches in diameter open. In a leather and silk case by the famous fan maker Ernest Kees, in Paris.
