Antique fan, circa 1720, “the judgment of Paris”

Antique fan. The leaf is hand painted paper in gouache on both sides of the judgment of Paris. On the first side, helmeted Parîs is courted by the three goddesses Juno, Minerva and Venus. The frame is in bone painted with scrolls of flowers and foliage and lace. It is in very good condition, however three small holes visible on each guard stick were originally probably decorated with a stone? It measures 11;61 inches long closed and 21,65 inches in diameter.
