Wedding fan, Louis XVI period

Wedding fan. The sticks are in mother-of-pearl, with gold and silver decor, the guard stiks are decorated with “Pierres du Rhin”. The leaf is in skin, it is painted by a couple in front of the altar of love, at their feet, two doves. It is in very good condition, we can however note that the last strand on the left has been removed, this old modification visible on the photos, remains very discreet. It measures 9,05″ long closed and about 17,32″ in diameter.
France, circa 1780.
