Constitution of Cadiz, Spanish hand fan, Constitution 1812

Constitution of Cadiz. Rare fan created following the Spanish constitution of 1812, generally called the constitution of Cadiz. The guard is bone and mother of pearl, it is painted, golden and silver. The leafe is in skin, it is engraved. The scene represents the announcement of this first constitution. A plaice is missing on the left of the leafe, old restorations are also visible in the photos. The fan measures 7,87 inches closed and around 14,17 inches in diameter.
